 Since established in 1965, your Foundation has invited clubs to participate in the Founder's Day program in honor of the Foundation's anniversary. For as little as $3.00 per member, your club provides the Foundation with an unrestricted source of revenue, allowing the Foundation to direct monies to the areas of greatest need.
Founder's Day contributions help the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation meet the needs of children throughout out District. Examples include:
- For $500 you can provide a Hippo Spica Child Safety Seat (pictured here) which allows a child with a hip cast to be transported safely in a car.
- For $250 you can help provide a training seminar in emergency pediatric medicine to approximately 25 first responders, helping to heal and even save the lives of countless children.
- For $100 you can ensure a family receives discharge education information to help care for their newborn child. This support can literally mean the difference between life and death.
Each year we help thousands of children through our Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), which provides children and their families with the necessary education and resources to prevent unintentional injuries, and the Kiwanis Doctor Program, which teaches doctors, nurses and first responders how to treat a child when trauma does occur. We also grant funds to dozens of clubs in our District who are then able to respond to the needs of children and families living in their communities. In addition, we provide scholarships to our sponsored program members, helping them to become the leaders of tomorrow. Your annual contribution allows us to continue these ongoing programs and provides.
